Courage

Courage doesn’t always roar.  Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.  ~Mary Anne Radmacher

Judgement Free

heart art

From my Instagram. A page inside my Tarot journal. Crayon & marker. Inspired by a reading on Christmas night from my “Ask Your Guides” oracle deck.

This image is actually from my Instagram account. The photo is of a page in my Tarot Journal. It helps me to connect the meaning of my readings when I transform them into some kind of “art.” My art is free of judgement (from myself.) It is not “good” or “bad” it’s just feelings and thoughts put onto paper.  It feels incredibly good to get things out of my head, it’s freeing.

The cards I used on Christmas night for my reading is, the “Ask Your Guides” oracle deck by Sonia Choquette. My collection contains about 7 decks, it’s small but growing. The AYG deck is my favorite for my personal readings, the images grip my attention and soothe my thoughts.

Yesterday, I had a “good” day off. I rested, I was highly productive and had time to draw a character from my favorite cartoon show (Adventure Time.) Shared some feelings and some cuddles with my honey etc.  This morning, it’s been a bit rough. I have noticed that I often can’t have two “good” days in a row, not that today is bad – it’s just bumpy.

Freshly Fallen Snow

leaf on snow

Leaf on snow, day after Christmas 2014

There is much agitation in the air today, it’s hung on since last night. It is difficult for me to drop negativity quickly, and just be happy again. There is so much learning and practice that I must do, in order to maintain my own inner peace. Through study, I have found I am much like a sponge and that I absorb too much from those around me. Shielding, is something I did on a daily basis for about a year, but I let that practice go. It’s time to start again.  Too much power is given to circumstances and other people in my daily life. I must slowly retrieve that power back and build it up again.  Not to take away from anyone but just to restore what I have lost from myself.

There is something beautiful, something calming about a freshly fallen snow.. it makes everything clean and new again.

Be Gentle

“No man or woman of the humblest sort can really be strong,
gentle and good, without the world being better for it,
without somebody being helped and comforted by the
very existence of that goodness.” – Alan Alda

Turn On a Light!

“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” –Albus Dumbledore

I’m a bit bothered about some stuff that really does no good to speak about here, BUT it did make me think of this quote from one of the Harry Potter movies.. specifically: “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.” Yep, I’m a fan – now you know 😉

Positive Patterns

If we look at every day in our life, patterns emerge. Patterns are everywhere. Let’s try to focus on the positive ones!

Super Size My Happy

flower

Purple and yellow dahlia? September, 2014

Today has been a good day, even with little sleep last night. I went to work and was able to use my muscles. I helped customers and interacted with other people! It was a tiring but a positive experience. I hope your day was positive as well and if it wasn’t, I hope the photo of this pretty flower helps – even if just as little 🙂

Look for the BRIGHT spot!

Flower on a tree/bush or shrub, end of June of 2014.

Things are not quite like I would like them to be in my world. However, I had a reason to get dressed with a sense of purpose. I also generated income, and that is the bright spot of my day.
