The View

The first day of March, 2015. Potters Marsh Boardwalk.

Remember my cellphone/camera issues from previous days? Yeah, we are back there again. Cleaning out the gallery of a zillion photos from my old Samsung G2 some how broke the camera. I tried using a micro-sd card to save photos to but none the less, I was only left with a broken picture icon.

We just replaced my sweets Moto X that I got him for Christmas, with an Iphone 4s because the screen shattered at work. Sometimes working heavy machinery can cause that to happen. My needs for a new cellphone are on the back burner, so recycled photos for posts again. It doesn’t help that I really am holding out for some great deal like on a Samsung Note 3 or 4…..

For me and my sweets 8th anniversary, I purchased tickets to our first Alaska Aces game! We will be attending this Saturday, and I am really excited! How do you like hockey? Or which sport is your favorite? Not a sports fan?

The Big News

My Daughter, bought me a round trip ticket to California for my birthday! I am going to meet my Grandchildren for the first time, and see her in person (we Skype) for the first time in nearly a decade! The absolute best birthday gift I could hope for but, I’m also so nervous! I will be flying with out my sweet and even tho it’s only a 4 and a 1/2 day trip with flights included, I will miss his companionship very much. The trip will occur the first week of April 🙂

Meditation

“In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.” – Deepak Chopra

I read somewhere that the less time you have for meditation, the more you need it.  Or, something to that effect. Last night in bed, I did a quick reading with my “Ask Your Guides” oracle deck by Sonia Choquette (it’s a personal favorite.)  My guides quickly reminded me that I have strayed from the path that brings me the most fulfillment, that I am too critical of myself and that to return to the path that brings me the most happiness, I only need to listen to my higher self. This will be my focus once again.  And the truth is, I really do need to meditate more. Peace & Protection friends.

Marsh Collage

Collage of three photos taken at Potters Marsh, March 1, 2015

On the first March, after I finished work we headed out to Potters Marsh.  It’s one of my favorite places, just outside of town. Watching the seasons change, is a beautiful gift. Sometimes, I over think things.  Like the sentence before last, “watching the seasons change, is a beautiful gift.”  I felt kind of guilty after I wrote it like, I was making to bold of a statement.  What if watching the seasons change depresses someone etc? Who am I to make a statement like that? I debated adding “for me.” Watching the seasons change, is a beautiful gift for me. I left it.  That’s why getting out to places like Marsh is so beneficial to my state of well-being.  When I walk up and down the board walks, especially if not many people are walking on it – my mind let’s go of so many judgements and stress.  It’s a place where I can just be.

The boy drove me out and as we headed out, the sun began to burn through the heavy clouds and fog.  It was amazing golden-yellow sunlight. It was as if we were being invited as guests, special invitation kind of thing.  Every moment of it was appreciated.  I took a 100 photographs using my old cellphone. Now, I have to keep both charged.  One as a camera and the other for calls, each in a back pocket. I am pretty sure I look silly but I don’t care. Being able to capture and preserve moments like this, makes it all worth the hassle.
